Julia & Fabio

Fabio Giaccone was born and grew up in Brazil. His first contact with Yoga came at the age of 16 one sleepless night.  In search of peace, he opened up a book from his elder brother and practiced his first Asanas. Peace and sleep came quickly after a few postures. It took some time until the mysterious ways of life brought him back to Yoga, but  it has since become his passion and his path. Beside teaching Yoga, Fabio gives Thai-Yoga Massage and is a Reiki practitioner.

Julia Deutscher was born in Allgaeu, Germany. She sees the pratice of Yoga as a perfect way to develop her awareness about herself, about others and about life itself. The basis of her teaching philosophy is to remind ourselves that we are creating life every day, with every thought. For her there is always something new to explore, new ways to look at life and limiting thoughts to release. She believes strongly in the power of positive thinking and integrates this approach in her teachings.  Julia is also a Asian Bio-Energetic Therapist and a Reiki practitioner.

Fabio and Julia are traditional Hatha Yoga teachers, qualified in India by the reknowned Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Nasik. Their style is strongly influenced by the teachings of Surinder Singh from Rishikesh who they visit annualy. They have spent over three years in Asia and Oceania, developing their awareness with many different teachers and also with the greatest teacher of all, life itself.

They have a keen interest in blending the everlasting ancient Yoga teachings with the modern approach to daily life. The differences in their culture and upbringing provide them with a huge platform for exploring and learning, accepting and loving. Hardly a day goes by without them becoming aware of one more of their false beliefs or conditioned ways of thinking.  There is always something to discover, to re-evaluate or to release. It is exhilarating for each of them to find these obstacles and to be able to remove them, allowing them to  become more and more complete with each passing day.

Together they have successfully run the Ananda Yoga Zentrum in Kempten, Bavaria for two years where they offer open Hatha Yoga classes, courses and workshops. They offer Partner Yoga workshops at their studio as well as in other locations in Germany and Switzerland and also lead Yoga holidays in India and Europe.

At the Bhakti Yoga Summer Festival Fabio will be teaching a Traditional Hatha Yoga Workshop and together they will be teaching a Partner Yoga Workshop.  Partner Yoga is a beautiful way of connecting with each other without losing contact with yourself; of moving in synchronicity and harmony,  breathing together with movement from one posture into the next. Their Workshops will be held in German.
